Hi everybody,
As a way of sharing some possible activities, and providing a forum where people can coordinate groups for those activities, the local organizing committee will be seeding the Dialogue Zone with suggested activities and instructions on how to register for them.
Point Pleasant
Point Pleasant Park is one of Halifax’s greatest attractions. Only 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles) from downtown, Point Pleasant Park gives you a place for a morning run, sunny afternoon walk, or a sunset stroll by the ocean. Bring your friends and family and enjoy the scenery.
Halifax Seaport Farmers Market
The Halifax Farmers' Market is the oldest continuously operating farmer's market in North America – having been founded in 1750.
With over 250 vendors in the heart of downtown Halifax, the market sells Nova Scotia’s best local products, from seafood to organic produce. The Farmers’ Market is an excellent attraction with something for everybody.
Citadel Hill
Visit one of Halifax’s most iconic landmarks – the Citadel Hill. Constructed in 1856, the national site attracts tourists from all over the world every year. Today, the Citadel Hill commemorates Halifax’s role as a key naval station in the British Empire and brings history to life in Atlantic Canada’s largest urban centre.
Guests can visit the museum, enjoy one of many guided tours, or explore on their own.
As with all the activities, please use this forum to ask questions and form groups. Also, if there are any activities you don't see listed on this forum and would like to know more about, feel free to post here and somebody from the local organizing committee will be happy to provide you with what information we have, or to make recommendations.
